Please read this before you sign. It applies each time you sign a document sent to you through Docnez.
1. Who is involved
The person or organization that sent you the document (the "Sender") is responsible for the document and the transaction. Docnez, operated by Nezuna Technologies Inc., only provides the signing technology and is not a party to the document.
2. Consent to use electronic records and signatures
By selecting "Agree and sign", you agree that: (a) the Sender may provide this document and related notices to you electronically; (b) your drawn, typed or uploaded signature or initials are your electronic signature, which you intend to sign the document with; and (c) you are signing voluntarily.
3. Type of signature
Docnez creates a simple electronic signature. After all parties sign, Docnez seals the completed PDF with a tamper-evident digital seal and adds a certificate of completion and audit trail. Docnez does not verify your identity beyond access to the signing link (and any access code the Sender set). Laws on electronic signatures differ between countries, and some documents (for example wills, powers of attorney, land transfers and documents that must be witnessed or notarized) may not be signed electronically. The Sender is responsible for deciding whether this document may be signed electronically.
4. Your right to paper and to withdraw (US consumers and others)
- You may ask the Sender for a paper copy of this document, or to sign on paper, by contacting the Sender directly. Docnez does not charge for this; the Sender may tell you of any fee they charge.
- You may decline to sign electronically by choosing "Decline". You may withdraw your consent at any time before you finish signing by closing the page or choosing "Decline". Withdrawal does not affect documents you have already signed electronically. To withdraw consent to receive future electronic records from the Sender, contact the Sender.
- Your consent applies only to this document unless the Sender tells you otherwise.
- Keep your contact information current with the Sender.
5. Hardware and software
You need: a device with internet access; a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript enabled; an email account; and a PDF reader (or the ability to store PDF files) to view and keep the completed document. By consenting you confirm you can access and keep electronic records in this format. If these requirements change in a way that affects your ability to access records, the Sender or Docnez will tell you and you may withdraw consent without fees.
6. Copies
After signing you can download the completed document and certificate. Keep your own copy. Docnez does not keep documents indefinitely; see the Retention and Deletion Policy.
7. What we record
Docnez records your name, email, IP address, approximate location from IP (for security only), browser details and the time of each action in an audit trail attached to the completed document and shared with the Sender and other signers. See the Privacy Policy.
8. Questions
Questions about the document: contact the Sender. Questions about Docnez: hello@docnez.com.
